Its difference from the DS18B20 sensor is that it is waterproof. Since it is a digital sensor, the temperature at deep distances can be easily measured with the help of its 1 meter long cable and there is no deterioration in data transfer. A 9-bit or configurable 12-bit read can be performed via the single-wire (1-wire) interface.
