GOODYEAR SNOW CHAIN SNOW CHAIN 4 X 3.20 MM 20 MANGANESE This specification has been prepared by referencing the TS 663 standard. - GDY products use an X-type snap-on 5-section chain. This ensures continuous contact between the chain and the road and tire. The cross-X pattern provides maximum traction and braking safety against lateral and forward slippage. - The links used have a chain link width of 12-13 mm, and the chain wall thickness is between 3.2-3.40 mm. - 20MnB4 steel and heat treatment must ensure TSE hardness values. - Zinc coating (min. 5 microns) with blue passivation provides extra resistance to corrosion. - The hardness values of metal snow chains should be as follows: ** Core hardness: (400 ± 100) HV5, ** Surface hardness: (850 ± 100) HV5, ** Tensile Load; The breaking strength of the chain in categories M1, N1, O1, and O2 is such that when the tensile load given in Table 1 is applied to the ring and cross links of the chain, there should be no breakage.
