Cleaning and Washing
- Hand Washing: Always wash the products by hand with liquid detergent or lukewarm soapy water.
- Machine Washing Recommendation: Do not wash in a dishwasher.
- Bleach Prohibition: Absolutely do not allow contact with bleach or similar chemicals.
- Avoid harsh cleaning: Do not use harsh sponges, wire brushes, or abrasive cleaning materials.
- Drying Instructions: After each wash, be sure to dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water stains and discoloration caused by moisture.
Heat and Cooking
- High Heat: Do not expose the products to very high heat.
- Nickel Plating Warning: It is recommended to avoid contact between nickel-plated SILVER-colored products and hot or acidic foods.
- Oxidized Color: Oxidized color products may undergo slight color change when exposed to fire.
Copper's Natural Structure and Polishing
- Oxidation (Tarnishing): Due to the nature of copper, copper-colored products may oxidize (tarnish); this is not a defect but a normal occurrence.
- Slowing Down Tarnishing: Protecting copper from moisture can slow down tarnishing.
- Restoring the Former Shine: To restore products to their former shine after they have lost their luster:
- You can wipe it with a cloth dampened with vinegar.
- You can rub it with lemon and salt.
- Tarnish Removal: In case of tarnishing, metal cleaners can be used on the exterior.
Coating Maintenance
- Tinned Interior: The tinned interior of products may absorb the color of food depending on usage. In this case, cleaning with baking soda is recommended.
- Tin Restoration: For long-lasting use, periodic tin restoration is recommended.
- No need for re-tinning: Copper products that are not exposed to fire will not require re-tinning.
- Nickel Plating (SILVER COLOR): These products will not tarnish, but dulling and water stains may occur depending on usage.
